and Mrs Duncan went too. They had a letter from the gilrs and they will not be home till the first of the week. Our trip home was speedy and pleasant got home a little after five oclock. Will went down town in the evening and I talked with Mother. Sunday September 4th 1892 I was busy most of the morning putting our things away. The folks were all over in the afternoon and we talked considerable about what we were all to do for the coming year. I read most of the evening. I have concluded to take boarders. Monday September 5th 1892 I cleaned up the house this morning and Will and I ate dinner at eleven oclock to start out in the country to find Josie. She has no place so she will come in two weeks to work for me. It was six oclock when we got home. The ride was dusty but I enjoyed it any way. Tuesday September 6th 1892 John helped me wash this morning. Hattie came after Mother to spend the day in town. Will took me out to Marys for a half hour in the forenoon. I put in the afternoon picking things out of the garden. I wrote a letter to Charlie & Ida. Wednesday September 7th 1892 I ironed and done some other work in the morning and in the afternoon went to town. met with the girls and Will and I were both at Hatties for supper. There was a shower of rain early this morning. Thursday September 8th 1892 It was twelve years since John & Hattie were married. I invited them over for dinner. Annabel is here on a visit. I had a nice dinner and we all enjoyed it. The girls had to go home early in the afternoon to take care of some fruit. I wrote a letter to May and in the evening wrote a letter to Mrs Duncan. It rained again early this morning.
