There is Eight all told in the Hospital now There are a great many visitors here evry day and some one from Liberty evry day We have all the delicasies of the seazon to eat now which are sent from Union County friends. I am going to Liberty on tuesday next to attend Commissioners Court. H. Husted did not get but One Book of the index done but I can draw the money for that which will be enough to pay the note for our lot, which was due yesterday. I will see what I can do in raising some money for you and will send you some as soon as I can get get it. I have now just got one cent and ten postage stamps is all the valuable that I can call my own at this time. We have not got our uniform yet but I think will get it soon. We do not know when we will leave here nor where we will be sent but I think we will be kep in the State all sumer as our Regiment voted down the 3 years arrangement which I am sorry for as I would much prefer active service than to be kept Stationed at home all the time. Our Regimental Staff Officers are not all appointed yet so I do not know what chance I yet have of a promotion. John L Grove is an applicant for the post of Adjutant but I cannot tell what his success
