Camp Reynolds, Near Indianapolis June 26 1861 Mrs Sarah Davis Dear Dear Wife I did not write monday as I promised as I thought I would await another day to see if I could learn any thing more definite in regard to our departure but I have leared nothing and am no better posted than when I last wrote. We are being drilled verry Steady and are getting all of our Shoes clothing and accouterments and are kept close in quarters and are not issueing any furlows to any one either officers or men but say we must be ready to march at any moment but Cap. Bennett tells me that they say they intend to pay us before we start and if so I will send or bring you the money but if we do not get it you will
