I would like to have some of the good apples that you must have about this time. I cannot tell anything about comeing home the 1st of October but I am comeing if there is any chance at all. I must close as the messenger is ready to start for Buchannon which is our nearest Post Office which is 42 miles Direct to Buchannon Va care of Col. Wagner 15th Reg Ind Vol. No more but do Dear Sally write often and tell me how you are and how you are getting along. Your affectionate husband A. F. Davis Give my love to Mother and tell her I do not think much of he native state. Tell her the cook by the fire like they did when she was born Andy Since writing this I have got yours of the 12th and O how glad. I will answer it soon. L. Beaver is well so are all Liberty Boys
