him anything. I do owe Shideler $6.00 balance on all of our dealings. I do not know why it should be on the Coffin more than on anything els as the bill was altogether but if they are bad off about it and want to make it appear that I have not paid the funeral expences of our babe I will forward the first money I get (if I ever get any) and have it paid to Shideler. I am sorry you went Adams for goods as I would much rather you had went to Scott & Burgess. I am glad to hear that Vans are talking of moveing to Liberty and hope they will do so. Tell the girls I was glad to get the flowers they sent me and that I would like to be there to play with them among them. I was exceedingly glad to get the Stamps you sent me but it was useless for you to go to the expense of sending paper & envelope for I can get them here but Stamps it is impossible to get, not that I have not the means of getting them (for thank God I am not that bad off yet) but because they cannot be had. Tell H. Husted he need not be in a hurry about the Index as all I want is to have it done by Commissioners Court in January and there might be such a thing as my being home before that time
