as there is considerable talk that we cannot be kept in the service longer than 3 months unless. we Stay for 5 years and I am comeing home in 3 months if I can but I do not know how it is, but dont build your hopes on it too strong. Well Sally I suppose you would like to hear a little camp news but I believe that is scarce of a quality that would suit your taste as there has nothing of any importance transpired as yet. Our Regiment removed their quarters day before yesterday about 8 miles further South than we ware when you last heard from me. We are stationed in a Valley about 1/3 of a mile wide through which runs Tigerts River a small mountain stream about like Hannah Creek with water as clear as Crystal and as soft as Rain water. On each side the mountains rise from 1/2 to 1 mile in hight which is thickly coverd with timber and a perfect mat of underbrush. In a Military point of view our situation is considered good as an enemy must come either up or down the valley and let them come either way we are prepared for them. It is the general understanding that we stay here for some time perhaps
