country school house I have seen in the State and our men are useing it for a Hospital for our Sick. Luther Beaver is hearty so are most of the Liberty boys except Frank Miller he is no account here and ought to be sent home. Wm. Appleton & Jo Macy are not verry well but able to be about. The weather is as a general thing quite cool and it has rained on an avrage 4 days out of evry week since we have been in the State I do not know whether it is always so or not. This country is verry romantic but I do not see how it can support a verry great number of people. I have not saw a farm in the State that I would take as a gift and be compelled to live on it Such a thing as a cross roads you never see for the only way they have roads is to commence at the mouth of a Stream and run up and you know Streams do not often cross. each other. Enclosed I send a couple of Rings to the children.
