We are Still stationed at our old camp with no immediate prospect of a removal unless the Rebels drive us out; and by the way according to what news we get from Liberty and other places there is considerable danger of that for they tell us that they have us entirely Surrounded and that we cannott escape which I think is not the case as we have free access to 3 or 4 Points on the Rail road, and as regards the enemy it looks more like the shoe would fit the other foot to a better advantage for they are situated immediately South of us and we have forces on 3 sides of them and that does not look much like us being surrounded and I think the news to that effect is calculated to make our friends uneasy for us when there is no cause and I want you to pay particular attention to what I write to you on that subject for I shall always tell the thing as near as it actually is as I possibly can and shall not color it any higher than it actually is. This has been a hard week on our company as we ware ordered out last Sunday night on an excursion and lay in the bushes all night with nothing but our Gum blankets and nearly froze and saw no enemy to pay us for our trouble and then on Monday moring had to
