8 or is he still bound to go War. Whose or what company did Wm Lee enlist in You see I am writing this letter on small paper and that is as much as to say my large paper is all gone, therefore I will look for a box from home some of these days. But if you have not started anything yet do not do so until you have heard that the way was clear again between Louisville and Nashville and as soon as you do start it write to me stating the date you started it and to where it was directed. The proceedings of Dalzells case have not yet returned from Gen Buell therefore we do not know his sentence yet, You are welcome to all the fun you can make over my whiskers. And just here I will say that I got them strongly pulled by an Irishman while on guard yesterday. He was in the guard house and was rather unruly and I undertook to buck him and the result was I got my whiskers pulled and he got bucked for six hours when he begged and I let him loose. My sheet is full therefore I will stop. Direct to Vervilla Tenn until further orders. Your affectionate Husband A. F. Davis
