I have just received my trunk which has been back since the 12th of Sept. I found almost evrything of my own all safe but one of the boys had a watch in it which was gone; My own watch and a fine Laurel pipe was in a little box with my sash, the pipe was taken and the watch left. I also had 3 nice rings and a watch Seal all made of Laurel in a box where I Kept yours and the childrens mineatures which ware all taken and the picture left. Some of the officers had evrything of Value they had taken, and among them Several good watches. So I consider myself lucky for once. News is Scarce here as evrything is just as it has been for some time here. only the Rebs appear to be getting bolder all the time and it is now generally believed by all who pretend to Know that they will attact us here and we all pray that they may for we are opposed to any more hard marching for a time at least and if they come to us, then we will not have to go to them. Last night as we ware eating supper just at dark we ware quite
