(Added comment at head of page, continued from, & transcribed on, the previous page) There is nothing new or interresting here but it is just the same one day after another and perhapse you would think strange if I would tell you that a person often gets lonesome here where there is so many thousands together but nevertheless it is true and I often get and feel as lonesome as though there was not a person within miles of me, but I go out and Stir around and wear it off as much as I can and just when a person feels that way is when he wants a letter from some dear one at home and oh how slow the hours appear to move until the mail come and then if he gets a letter he is all right but if not then look out for a fit of the blues, but I do not let them bother me often for I hunt up something to divert my attention or go viseting or something els to divert my mind. I received a letter from Van yesterday and answered it last night and on Friday I got one from Ferman which I have not answered yet. The 68" Ind come here yesterday from Nashville and encamped nearby and as soon as I knew it I went over to see Wm Lee, but he is not with the Regt but is in the Hospital at Nashville. He has something the matter with one of his wrists and is likely to be discharged. His father was to see him a few days since but could not get a pass to come out here. I saw a great many in the 68. from Franklin County who I used
