Saving...
I think that Betsey Whites family are particularly unfortuneate and I deeply sympathise with her, and all other sufferers of the unfortuneate blunder I got a letter from Tom McKee a few days since and he says the reason that En. went in his place was that one of his childre was sick, and I say En was the proper one to go. Our baggage was all brought up on the 22 inst and all my things come safe. and also all the things I brought for the boys come safe and are all delivered, except a letter which I brought for J.N. Conklin containing some money which I still have as I have not saw him and do not know where he is and I do not think it safe to forwarded it by mail therefore I shall keep it until I hear from him, Tell his people this, Well this is a gay evening here as this is pay day consequently the boys are all in a good humor. They ware all paid for 4 months but me and as I got 2 months pay in Cincin, consequently I only got 2 months today, Our Chaplain Mr Whitehead will Start North on Monday next for the purpose of carrying home money for the boys,
