Vicksburg Aug 30 this is a bright sunny morning - rather cool - The church bells are ringing for church - but I do not care to go - for several reasons. the most important one is that I have no bonnet to wear and my hat is not dressy enough. I wish I had a bonnet here at times and then when we move around I would not know what to do with it either. I suppose Dear mother thee has begun to be quite at home among our friends in M. by this time. Has thee been all round to see them and found out all about them - Be sure and have Uncle H and Ann go up to Uncle James
