Feb. 21st./62 Camp Harlan, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa miss Jennie Scott My dear friend I will try to answer your good letter which I received some time a go. you must excuse me for not writing sooner I have so much to do I cant write as often as I would like to and then there has been know news to write, I have a little news now, perhapse will interest you. We are going to start to St. Louis Mo. the 26th of this month we will go by rail road. The regiment will move by Battallions one at a time there is 4 Companys in a Battalion. we are in the first Battallion and will go
