Coatsville March the 1st. 1863 Mr. John Mann Esq Dear Cousin I seat my self this pleasant Sabbath eavning to answer your kind letter which came to hand yesterday it gave me great satisfaction to hear from you and the other boys and to think that I have been so remembered by one that has spent so many happy days with me this leavs us in reaenable good health we have had severe colds but are getting better father and mother are both as well as commen with the exception of Colds. R. E. Orth and child are both well we got a letter from William yesterday and one from J. A. Orth allso William was well and harty he is at Murfreesboro, Tenn - he has been in one of the hardest battles that has been faught they faught eight days and all of the company came
