Oh But I would love to see home once more I would love to see Emma Lee & my better half & all the Rest of you it seems like a long time since I left home & Every time I think of home I am reminded of the parting on my portico oh if we all could have the privelege of talking & visiting each other as we use to I would like to take my little fellow & Salina & go to sabbath school call & see you & take dinner as we use to I hope that I will be Blessed with the pleasure of home once more If we are successfull as is thought By the most of our troops & officers in The vicksburg Expedition which I do believe we will make a clean sweep of the place Ear long I have to stop and go on drill just now 12 O,clock & their is no male come the male boat got the Boiler Busted we will not get any till Sundy morning I am still well abel for my grubb coffee & Bakers Bread Tea ham sometimes Beef & Potatoes we are living well at this tim Dan Elefritz is our quartermaster now & will be for 2 months th quartermaster got sick & got a furlow for 60 days & is gone home Capt Bowen is geting under the weather a gane he is trying to get a furlow to & maby will we have heard nothing more from vicksburg to day I am anxious to here all the perticulars of that for a good Eal depends on that Battle we have no fears but that Grant will make the crooked all strait I must close By asking you to write often I send my love & Respects to all enquiring friends copperheads accepted non for them at all all vengence Jacob Bridenstine
