MONDAY, JANUARY 25, 1864. Procured transportation for 100 men and send them this afternoon to Bridgeport Ala. under charge of Sergt. McLean 10th O.V.C, and remained in order to get transportation for the remainder of men belonging to the 10th at Camp Smith TUESDAY 26 Procured Transportation for the remainder of men in Camp Smith and started with them to Bridgeport Ala. in the afternoon, made very slow headway all night - being deleay twice by by trains running off track WEDNESDAY 27 On the Cars in Morning and very tired having no good place to sleep and the cars much Crowded - Reached Bridgeport in after noon and marched men to Camp and Reported them - Very [wars?] - Roads dusty, we obtained 13 recruits of all Brought-Recruited by W. Perry
