Corinth Miss July 26th./63 Dear Sister: having an Opportunity of Sending you a few lines,, by Mr. Fields,, who is going home on a furlough,, I will proceed to State that I am well,, and doing a bout the best I know how,, I Should like to Send you Some little present,, If I did but know what to Send,, but I can discover nothing here.. that I think would be worth Sending..
