we had at Corinth. Some of the boys say they would rather be here than at Corinth but I for one would not. We have very poor quarters here while at Corinth we had the verry best. Foraging parties are sent out to procure subsistence for both man and [bruit?]. the guerrillas are hovering around the lines all the time. It is not safe for any man to go out through the lines anymore. Several persons have been hanged in this visinity. this is a very hot day, and in thoes small tents it is allmost suffocation to stay in them. Robert is well with the exception of his eyes which are a little sore yet.
