I pray God that the time may not far distant when I shall be permited to visit the scenes & associates of former days. If not before, when the war is ended You spoke of Adda getting sick. That would not help the matter any. I am not a married man, poor unfortunate creture. They dont respect unmarried men, old or young for they force them to go to war first & then let the married men go home first. But never mind all will be be well. I think of trying to get transfered to Iowa City Dont know as I shall make it out. I shall write home to day & I wish you would
