We received our pay last week. There has been a sircus & panorama exhibiting here this week & the latter I attended. It was good--worth seeing. I became a member of the Union League a week ago. I dont know as I have any thing more to write though I think the verses on that envelope are verry nice, they speak my sentiments My respects to all enquiring friends and my curse upon copperheads My love to the No more farewell Yours &c J. H. M.
