are teaching in the winter it has been midling sickly here this summer a good deal of Typhoid Fever and some other diseases but is not so much now as has been our relatives are all well as far as I know. Poleticks was carried to avery high pitch this fall I fear if men suffer themselves to run to such extremes the war will not stop soon they will only keep feeding it up I have not from Tille lately she was in Maryland when I heard from her last her sister Mary was over here a few weeks ago and Sister Sydney was along with her and when they went home they broke down on the mountain and had to return to Ickesburgh and have their vehicle mended and then start anew the next day I suppose our big mountains would almost frighten you if you would have to cross them as you have no such in the west and I suppose you hardly know what the Pensylvania mountains look like but I must bring my scribling to a close for thsi time write soon and let us know wether you have heard any thing from Robbert lately plese excuse my mistakes give my love to Mother and all who may ask for me and reserve a portion yourself.
