WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1, 1863 Off early in the morning but was soon detained for over taking a part of the fleet - off again our Boat - the Pike - struck a snag and came very singing THURSDAY 2 Our Boat having been repaired during the night we are again afloat making good time was fired into by the Guerrillas - done no damage FRIDAY 3 off early with good speed arrived at our camps near green Wood at 12 N. Received a letter from John Alexander
