Disembarked and went into Camp Received a letter from J W Shearer of Memphis - wrote a letter to John & one home SATURDAY 11 In camp 4 or 5 miles below Helena Rained in the evening My health is good SUNDAY 12 Weather pleasant Went up to Helena and visited the 36th Iowa Infantry - seen Brother J L Shearer - he was in good health
