Some fighting last night Cannonading active this morning - shifted Camps THURSDAY 25 Ordered in line of battle - march to the support of Gen Logan - attempt to take a rebel forte - severe fighting 17th losses 30 odd men FRIDAY 26 Ly close to the rebel forte until 10 -oclock and then march to our quarters wrote a letter to Father
