July Mon 20th Still on picket at the Gap Tues 21 it was nice and warm and I took dinner in snickersvill at A fat old Ladies house Weds 22. we left the Gap and went through upperville and marched all night and in the morning we stopt 2 hours Thurs 23 we went through White Plains and Salum and orleans on to Emmetsville Fry 24 we went out 6 miles to chester Gat whare the Michigan boys had A fight, we whare on picket
