November Tues 10 still laying at steavens burg Weds 11 went in to the hospital last night Thirs 12 we went on picket at Jamania ford of the Rappihan[nock?] river we remained thair untill the morning of the 18 for at 7 oclock A brig of rebs dashed in upon us and drove us in to within 1 mile
