of what he supposed saving confession he would shout "Amen" so he passed many of them & there were utterances of "another soul" &c. some after consideration he did not pass as not having come up to the mark then every now & then they struck up tunes & these were particularly productive of conversions, He looked round & round on the audience clapping his hands like an auctioneer & some times "Amen" would come after "Amen" very quickly. After a bit they left off this & prayed together & any one who was moved prayed it was painful & degrading to hear some women shrieking
