to the people "All in favor of our brave men fighting &c &c say 'aye" "aye," from many voices. "all not in &c.&c". only a few very fews "ayes" "Turn [um?] out" say the crowd. "I will put the question again" then this time there was only 1 or 2 ayes to the 2nd question. this was disgusting, Whenever anything was said about making "the last rebel bite the dust" there was mad cheering, A man got up a brick layer, an ignorant ass, after saying he was one of the people & all the rest &c. he said he would give them a lesson from history from 1815 when monarchs were planing how they could sit firmer on their thrones & draw the chains
