Sepr 25th Sunday Went to the Episcopal Church Sepr 26th We had to wait to wait for a steamer & although 4 have gone up only one has gone down yet owing to the equinoctial irregularities it makes travelling very slow here & I heartily wish we had never come to this place, I advise no one to come here at equinox. Sep 27th We had a severe gale to-day so much so that the steamer that ferries across here was a good deal knocked about.
