seen a very little way of when it was dark they were not very large but powerful looking vessels, owing to the yellow fever raging at Bermuda & Nassau these vessels start now from Halifax Oct 15th bright & clear with plenty of sea running. got under weigh about 5 P.M we have had strong E ly. winds & a heavy sea running & have made little weigh up till Oct 24th this morning the wind got round to the N. & we have fore & aft sails set, it is blowing very hard in fact harder to-day than any day wind moderated in the evening & sea pretty quiet at night. Oct 25th rain & still water coast of Ireland in sight.
