It will not be long until their will be an order Issued sending us all Home. I believe yet; think I will be Home by the 4" of July. Have no Idea that we will be Kept in the Service more than two or three months yet, You will pleas remember me to Jim when you write to Him tell Him that I have not Heard from Lt Col Mayer. and now think all Recruiting is stopped I do not expect to get the position, and in the event of my having to serve my time out or even a portion of it I will be under lasting obligations if he will secure for me the first good position that offers, as their is no show for a Commission in the 7th.. I would write to Him my self. but do not Know his address. Have not seen or heard from John presume he will be Home in a fiew Days now unless he is sent to Wisconsin to get His pay. He will be mustered out with the sixty two Recruits. His Corps the 6" is now at Danville Va,
