I mailed to you yesterday a Draft for 130$ write you this that you can be on the look out for it in case it Should be detained. would have Sent it to you by Rollet but did not think he was going to Stash So Soon. would like to have that Thurston matter Settled with Judge Russell and the remainder of the money you can use as you think best. I made Application this morning for a furlough of thirty days. was on a Stand for Several days whither to do So or not I wanted. to go home and did not feel able to Spend the money. but my desire to see you all “triumphed over my Stingyness” got the furlough approved by Col. P. by promising to remain until I got all of the papers forwarded for June which will Keep me very busy until about the 6” or 7” of July.
