I sent word that I was here and well. he is in Comdg. of the company, Capt. is in Camp he has considerable to say about Miss Yelch, he calls Mollie B. his little School marm. I dont like to hear him for I hope she never will be his. I have been to see the wounded boys twice. Jack is getting along finely he has suffered a great deal and is suffering yet. but I think he is out of danger now but poor Mr. Chapman he is almost gone I dont think he will live till morning. he requested me to write to his folks. I want you and Sallie to write a good long letter to Jack. he was very anxious to hear from you. he said to day if he was at home to night he would go and see you tomorrow
