Ackworth and went through Altoona where the rebels charged last Wednesday and were repulsed Six Reg'ts of our men held at bay for six hours and defeated a whole Rebel Division. Their loss in Killed & wounded was 600. Nearly every house in Altoona was filled with their wounded. Marched 14 miles. The 4" Corps is just ahead of us and a Div or two of 13" came behind us. Evidently something ahead urgent. Some say the enemy is pushing
