We went into camp at Stallings Station on the R R We crossed this road twice during the day, They have left it unmolested. Saw some very pretty ladies in S- and by the way saw a "skule house" Was amused at the darkies riding away from the bees. Weather delightful and country more open and rolling, with some rocky land, are 14 mile from Raleigh and if the Johnnies dont get out will have a fuss tomorro, . As we started this morning a dispatch was read announcing the surrender of Lee's force in Va. That was worth a cheer, and such loud and long cheering was never
