beautiful pleasure grounds blooming with roses, all tended to make it it a march never to be forgotten. Not a thing is injured by the men, and all take a deep interest in cultivating again that brotherly feeling which should now exist betwen us and our once hated foes, Our days march was 21 miles and all stood it well, no straggling to be observed, We passed a large number of tobacco houses, which indicated this to be a tobacco section It is said a bet of a horse is between Slocum & Davis, the Corps first in Richmond to win, Go in for the spotted horse says the boys.
