I would rather our triumphant march homeward would be a little easier than it is, The men can't see the point to being Killed anxious as they are to get home We march too fast and too far: None of us like the idea of going into civil life stiff as stage horses We finished a march of 20 miles by dark, being hindered by hills & deep gullies all afternoon. 5" Started early. passed through Lewiston C.H. and got dinner at the Falls 16 miles from our night camp
