We drew Sanitary goods in afternoon and got orders to march at 6 in morning. Then hurrah for home See Note XX 11" Gen S. told Halleck that he "couldn't review this army" and thanks to him we marched through by the flank going past Libby and Castle Thunder, the State house and Washington Monument and out the Hanover C H road. It was very warm and we had to march to the C H. to get our pack mules which had been sent on another road. Marched 23 miles
