I. Organization of the "Charles City Political Equality Club." At a meeting called for the purpose, Nov. 7th, 1891, at the residence of L. Lane, a Charles City Political Equality Club was organized, with a membership of eighteen (18) consisting of Mesdames Balch, Barney, Fisher, Sampson, Littell, Chamberlain, McKallor, Nyr, [Renningan?], Wood, Miner, Boulton, North, Griswold, Hemlaud, Lane, and Misses Allison and Mahana. The following constitution was adopted: Article I. This organization shall be called the Charles City Political Equality Club. Article II. Its object shall be to interest the people of this community in the principles of impartial suffrage, and
