V Charles City, Iowa, Nov. 21st/91. At the first meeting of the Political Equality Club assembled at the residence of Mrs. Barney Nov. 21st at 2:30 P.M., there was present the following officers: Pres. Mrs. Littell, Vice Pres. Mrs. Griswold, and Sec'y Anna Mahara. There were present eleven members, namely: Mesdames Barney, McKallor, Littell, Chamberlain, Boulton, North, Miner, Sampson, [Hemland?] and Griswold and Anna Mahara, two visitors: Mrs. Bear & Mrs. Sloane; Mrs. Detwiler becoming a member. The business was taken up by the sec'y reading the organization notes of the Political Equality Club, which were approved. The resignation of Mrs. Bina Wood, treasurer of the club, was
