Receipt for making unfermented Bread Take 5 lbs of Flour, pass it through a sieve together with half an ounce of Carbonate of Soda so as to mix it thoroughly, dissolve half a drachm of Carbonate of Ammonia in three pints of water to which add 5 drachms of Hydrochloric Acid - mix it up cold, as quickly and thoroughly as you can with a wooden spoon, put it in tins at once, into a quick oven - If you wish to make cottage loaves you must use less water, but the bread is better in tins, or unglazed earthenware - This Bread requires no kneading or setting to rise but must be baked as soon as mixed Agume Cheese
