eleven hundred miles farther, & the strenght was failing me faster than I was aware living on "hard" tack sowbelly is poor diet for the diarrhea, I bought me some cheese on Route Tenne, had to pay 60ct & here it is only 30 cts butter 50, we have not drawn any pay yet, but I will muster myself in here & in two month time I can draw two months pay. If you feel like it you may send me a little for spending money, as one need some little article once in a while if we would been so fortunate to have been sent on the regt., from Camp [McClle.?] we would have drawn our pay ere this. No more at this time write soon Milton let have a synopsis of things, my mind is fully made up that the southern girls are far behind in intellegence &c., tell Ellen if she like she may let Sallie read her but not Dick.
