No 6 Quincy lowa Feb. 17th 1865 Dear Husband I mailed a letter to you last saturday. Although I have not see a letter from you since. I will write again as I do not wait for an answer to my letter before I write, I should like to know where you are & how you are - I cannot but think you have see my letters & allso those that your folkes have written they think very hard of you for not writing. I told your Mother when she was here that you had certainly wrote to them. I do not want what ever I may have wrote to you concerning them to make any difference to you as regards your writing to them, is it not better for me to tell you what I think than to tell anyone else & you know I must tell some one, and I will just say once to you it you have not wrote when you get this do so amediately, please for me I don't think but what you have wrote to Father, you said you have wrote to Wills, Ellis was here & staid all night friday night - was getting his boots mended in town, he said that they had not see a letter from you since in the fall they are quite broke up to Queen City. Edd Haddly has left gone to Mo his Father is going to move in this spring. I don't know who is going on the place, the worst is Fannie has lost her beau, I want to see her & tell her that he is running from the draft, one week ago today it commenced snowing, by the next day it went off & has been cloudy & looked like rain every day since, saturday was pleasent, the mud getting pretty deep, yesterday
