that Larimer & himself would be home in the course of a few weeks on furlough. Annother report is the 4th. are you going to be sent to Get Leavenworth? I am shure that I would wrather that they would be sent home than any where else... The 4th passed off about as usual, very dry, indeed, instead of haveing a dinner, every one took their own dinner & eat it. two or three families would put their dinners together, set it out on the ground & set down to it. Burgons, Smiths, J. Jones went in together, they had as nice a dinner as I ever saw. I don't think I ever saw as few out to a 4th before, every one had a fourth of their own. Brooksville Nevan, the George settlement, & Quincy were all sepperate. I don't know where Queen City went, they intended to come here, but they dident. I wrather think they went to stringtown.. I don't know how they will stand it. George has not come yet. she has been looking every day for the last month for George. Harden didn't come over the fourth. Clarabel does not like it a bit about that baby, she sayes she wont let it stay if pa does bring it. If I could have my say about your comeing, that is if you are not comeing to stay, I would wrather you not come untill next month, as you would be in time for [sic] [sic],... What would suit me better would be to come now & stay untill then, my dear husband, J. W. Lar
