77 Burlington April 25 1870 Mr Joseph A Dugdale Mt Pleasant Iowa My Dear Sir Your favor of the 20th [inst?] is received = In [response?] to the holding of a convention for the purpose of organizing a combined movement in favor of Womans Enfranchisement I would say that I have no objection of joining in a call for the proposed convention and if such a convention is held I hope to be able to attend it = While my wife is in favor of the enfranchisement of women she does not care to have her name used in the call = James Tracy J.
