& 17th of June: - that is, if you will be at home, at that time & if it would be convenient for you to receive us: - We should expect to go in on our conveyances, & should probably start on Wednesday the 15th & return on the Saturday following, & our party will consist of Mr. Shedd & myself & our daughter Emma: - Please write as soon as convenient, & say if our plans harmonise with yours. We are all in our usual health, our daughter Hattie is absent teaching but our oldest daughter Carrie, whom you did not see, is now at home on a visit -, with her three little children.
