Forest City, Iowa Jan. 31st, 1894 G. N. Haugen Dear Sir Of all reforms I consider there is none so important as equal rights, why a widow lady that has the care of a family and taxes to pay, should have just as good a right to have a vote as her husband had, and when we look to Wyoming and hear the universal good reports from it working there for the last twenty five years, it seems to me there can be no doubt of its utility to any man with an unbiased reason, and I realy hope you will neglect no opertunity to promote the Cause of equal rights to all regardless of Sex, and that this may truly be a Government by the People instead of less than half the People. Very truly yours, B. A. [illegible]
