ready for use. Take great care that it does not burn in melting. It may be used for Boils and broken Chilblains. When applied it should be spread rather thick on Linen and only changed once in 24 hours. If the wound is attended with much Inflammation a cold Poultice should be put over the Plaister. Good nourishment and Bark or Sarsaparilla should also be taken twice a day. Also the Roots of Colt's foot cut up and stewed or simmered and used as a Poultice will bring the Boil to a head in 24 hours in lieu of the above recipe. To stick in Photos, [illegible] Dissolve some Isinglass in Gin (no water) put into a wide neck Bottle and heat by Fire when required for use
