Rippey Iowa Nov 9th/69 Dear Sister Ellen. It was our Dollie - Honnie Birdie & a host of other sweet pet names a few years ago. Could not, then, for a moment give place to the thought other than you always would be a sweet child sitting on our knee - So kindly so dearly loved by kindred & acquaintance - so deeply stored in the heart of every member of the family - Should ever siege be laid to your affections you never could surrender - but alas, the delusion -
